Privacy for project requests

Downeast Remodeling collects bathroom project requests for review and possible referral to a local remodeling business.

What we collect

The form asks for your name, phone number, property town, project type, description, and timing. Email, budget, and photos are optional. We also record the request time, IP address, and the version of the sharing permission you accepted to operate the service, prevent spam, and document your request.

Who receives your request

We review your information and may share your contact details, project information, and optional photos with a local remodeler so they can follow up about the work you requested. We may receive a referral fee. Submitting does not enroll you in unrelated advertising or a marketing list, and it does not guarantee a contractor match.

Any estimate, appointment, contract, or construction is arranged directly with the contractor you choose. Ask that business how it handles information once it receives your request.

Service providers and storage

Cloudflare hosts the website, spam protection, form processing, and private photo storage. SMTP2GO handles transactional email. The referral operator also uses internal request records and notifications to review and follow up on submissions.

Photo access uses unlisted links that expire after 30 days. Files are scheduled for automatic deletion after that period; cleanup may take additional time. Someone with a shared link can view the photo until it expires. A recipient may retain information or a copy already received. Project details and permission records may be retained longer to respond, prevent duplicates, and maintain necessary business records.

Change, withdraw, or ask about your information

Use the project request form, choose “Not sure yet” and “Just planning for now,” and start the description with “Privacy request.” Tell us whether you want to update or withdraw a request, access your information, or ask for deletion. We may need to verify that the request is yours.

Withdrawing a request can stop future referrals; it cannot recall a message or photo already received by a contractor. If a contractor has contacted you, also tell them directly if you no longer want follow-up.

Do not upload identification, financial records, people, or sensitive personal information. This form is for property projects, not emergencies.
